POMS is committed to being in the forefront of HIPAA compliance and implementation. Our Quality Assurance and Compliance department has daily communication with many sources regarding developments. In accordance with federal mandates, our software is fully HIPAA compliant and has successfully completed the necessary testing. Business associate agreements are in place with all clients, vendors, and clearinghouses. An on-going monthly training program is mandatory for all POMS staff.
POMS has a fully implemented compliance plan developed under the OIG guidelines for third party billing companies. We conduct on-going internal audits to monitor the accuracy of all billing. The results of these audits are the basis for provider and employee education.
